PERSONAL INFORMATION- must be current information for 2016 Spring Semester.
Some scholarships require the following information.
Some scholarships are based on financial need and require a 2016-2017 FAFSA to determine eligibility. ICC must have electronically received your FAFSA by March 4, 2016 to be considered for need-based scholarships. Submit your FAFSA as early as possible to avoid significant transmission delays.
Some scholarships have specific eligibility criteria which students must meet to receive the award. Answers to the following questions will help determine eligibility for specific scholarships.
All applicants are required to answer the essay question listed below in 400 - 500 words (essays will be cut off at 500 words). DO NOT USE YOUR NAME ANYWHERE IN YOUR ESSAY.
What do you consider to be the single most important societal problem? Why? How would you solve it?
You are competing with other applicants to earn an ICC Foundation Scholarship. Your essay will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• Thinking Level – Have you completely answered the question being asked, organized your thoughts, applied your own knowledge, made a judgment, formed an opinion, created new thoughts or ideas?
• Quantitative Level -- Have you made personal connections, provided details, clarified beliefs, supported your statements, shown depth?
• Mechanics of Writing – Have you demonstrated correct spelling, sentence structure, language usage and punctuation?
